WELCOME TO POPLARS.....

We are a working farm in beautiful, sunny Leicestershire. We've been welcoming folk to the glorious big barn (a self-catering holiday let made up of the old stables, grain store and workmen's digs) since 2019. It is completely unique.

We also have three 'Carry on Camping' inspired Shepherd Huts. They come with king-sized beds, wood-burning stoves, comfy cushions and everything you'll need to knock-up supper. There's even a hot tub if the mood takes you.

All our beds come with Emma mattresses so you will have the best night's sleep.

RELAXED VIBE

There is plenty of comfy seating in the Big Barn's two reception rooms.

OUTDOOR SPACE

Enjoy sitting out in the field, having a BBQ in the orchard, or taking a walk across to the Lakes

LOCATED IN THE HEART OF ENGLAND

We are close to friendly market town Melton Mowbray (rural capital of food) and beautiful Oakham, but still hidden enough away from all the hustle and bustle. If you're looking for peace and quiet, surrounded by little more than green fields and fluffy sheep, then look no further. The dog's welcome too.

FROM LEICESTER

  • Take the A607 /Leicester Road towards Melton Mowbray.
  • Drive through Kirby Bellars and take a right turn towards Great Dalby (Eye Kettleby Lakes also sign-posted).
  • Look out for Eye Kettleby Lakes on your left. Poplars Farm is about 100m further down the road on your right.

FROM MELTON MOWBRAY

  • Take the A607 /Leicester Road towards Leicester.
  • Before entering Kirby Bellars take a left turn towards Great Dalby (Eye Kettleby Lakes also sign-posted).
  • Look out for Eye Kettleby Lakes on your left. Poplars Farm is about 100m further down the road on your right.

Head down the drive towards the farm buildings. Car parking for Shepherd Huts is on your right. If you're staying at the Big Barn you can park just outside - under painted sign on wall.
